TELL IT LIKE IT IS

Forty-seven former democratic activists are currently being prosecuted in Hong Kong for alleged national security offences. Their “crime” is to have organized a primary election for the choice of the best candidates in a vote for Hong Kong’s legislature. It is only a thoroughly undemocratic regie that would make such an activity a crime.

31 of her co-defendants have pleaded guilty to the charge, obviously in hope of a more lenient sentence.  Ho and the other activists are now on trial and she has spoken up with exceptional bravery. Here are two reports.
